PROJECT

  • Create a new theme park show based on Marvel IP to occupy an existing venue within a park

  • This high concept project included pitching three concept ideas then expanding on the one the class voted on

SHOW CONCEPT

The Tony Stark Institute of Technology (TSIT) is an interactive theme park tutorial class that teaches guests the basics of computer coding. Guests are taught simple tutorials on a touchscreen tablet by a Stark Industries professor and can save their work to their Magic Bands to access later. TSIT will offer a selection of different tutorials at various levels to allow for repeatability and growth. Attending a TSIT class is a great way to engage guests of all ages and to encourage a love of learning and STEM in a fun and exciting way!

ANIMATION BUILDING LOBBY

  • Add Marvel character development and their music to the loop in the Animation Building Lobby

  • Possible view of the lobby with Iron Man concept art and film stills

SHOW VENUE

  • Housed in the Animation Building in Disney California Adventure

  • Replaces Turtle Talk with Crush

  • Building becomes a home for both art and science

  • Teaches basics of coding

  • Snap!, a drag and drop programming language, accessible online

  • Handles powerful subjects like recursion, higher order functions, and graphics
